Taylor Davidsen 531

We are very excited about offering the Taylor Davidsen 531 to extend our our new flagship model, the Broadblue 531. The first 531 will launch in Fall 2010 and build slots are available starting mid 2011. The TD531 starts at $2,400,000.

The Taylor Davidsen 531 is our new flagship model that commands authority on the waves. She is a blue water cruiser with strikingly beautiful lines, superior craftsmanship complimented by elegant joinery. The TD531 will unite all the qualities of the Broadblue fleet while featuring her own individuality and emanating a fine presence on the water. She is designed for short handed sailing producing a fast, responsive and seakindly ride. The TD531, the definitive fifty-three foot Catamaran.

The TD531 is our first catamaran built with a blend of fiberglass carbon fiber in the hulls and deck. The blend adds strength to the hull and deck while saving nearly 2,000 lbs in weight. The weight savings can offset the weight normally added to a luxury catamaran such as generator, air conditioning and other comfort options. In addition, a carbon fiber mast saves even more weight. The standard davits are carbon fiber along with the Mast, Boom and helm wheel.

The Taylor Davidsen 531 is built to the highest level of the European Recreational Craft Directive: Category A (Ocean) and is built using Lloyds approved materials.

The TD531 is a custom built ocean cruising catamaran and built to each owner's requirements. Detailed specifications, pictures and interior drawings will be available soon.
